Autumn Days

Dress: Monki, Coat: Topshop Unique, Shoes: DM X Agyness Deyn,
Bag: Cambridge Satchel, Polish: Barry M NP292
Not taken any outfit shots for ages mainly due to having no time but I'm really missing blogging so thought I'd start posting some outfit wish lists instead, either of things I've seen whilst trawling the web or out and about shopping.

In love with this Monki dress and if you've not already checked out Aggy's new collection for Dr Martens then make sure you visit their website. There's not just shoes but some garments too, really like this dress, although I do think the clothes in the collection are overpriced. On the hunt for the perfect winter coat at the minute, love this Topshop Unique one but unfortunately my budget won't stretch to that! Really liking this more tailored, boyfriend style though.

That's all for now...going to try and post one of these once a week from now on as they're a lot easier to do than taking photos! I will eventually try and get round to that too though as I've a few rather productive shopping trips of late!

The Ragged Priest

Just a quick one to let you know about my new favourite label - The Ragged Priest. I've been eyeing up some of their shirts in the Manchester Arndale Topshop store for a while now, but I've still not splurged as yet. They started out as an Ebay store but quickly got snapped up by Topshop and now have a small concession in store. They basically customise and remake fairly basic vintage items by adding fabulous studs and spikes, as well as loads of tie dying.

My favourite piece by far has to be their studded leather jacket but at a whopping £195, I'll have to do a bit more saving before I can purchase it just yet! I think what I like about them is that it's kind of a mismatch of loads of different styles and there's something in there for most women from hippies right through to punks!

If like me, you can't quite afford their prices just yet, then why not use them as inspiration and make your own? I bought some studs from Afflecks Palace a few weeks ago and I'm going to try my luck at customising an old denim shirt for a bit of fun! Will post pictures when it's finished :)

Hope you like them as much as I do!

Midi Love

Blazer: Tesco (old)
Tshirt: Camden Market
Skirt: Retro Rehab
Boots: Topshop
I have SO many of these midi length pleated skirts, this is one of my favourites though. I know a lot of women are a bit dubious about wearing them because they can look a little frumpy sometimes but as long as you get the right fit, they're great! This one's from one of my favourite vintage shops in Manchester called Retro Rehab, it's a fairly small shop but filled with beautiful one off items and really reasonably priced. It's where I get most of my skirts from. Worn with a Sonic Youth tee I've had for years, which I've tied at the back to make it cropped and my favourite ever blazer which was a total bargain from Tesco a good few years ago now. I always go back to it again and again though as it goes with so many things and can really smarten up an outfit. Hope you like it!

Cream of the Crop

Jacket: H&M
Shorts: Topshop
Bralet: Topshop
Just a quick post to show you the outfit I wore for my girls night out this weekend. Got my new Topshop bralet on which I'm totally in love with. Printed shawl/jacket is a bit like a beach cover up really but thought it worked quite nicely to make me look a bit more casual and less naked! Rarely show this much flesh on a night out so was quite dubious at first but my friends persuaded me to brave it and it was actually quite flattering. Obsessed with crop tops at the minute so expect to see more soon!

Acid Wash

Pink Shirt: Blue Rinse
Polkadot Top: Primark
Jeans: New Look
Shoes: Topshop
Necklace: Topman

New jeans! Spotted these sexy lilac beauties in New Look the other day and just had to buy them. I wanted some seven eighths so rolled them up a bit but they're a really good fit and I love the acid wash. They literally go with everything in my entire wardrobe too! Really like that you can dress them up or down, I wore them out to a party this weekend with platform heels and a sparkly top which looked equally ace.

Bought quite a few new things recently so going to try and have a day of photographing soon and get some outfit posts stored up! One of which was the creepers I'm wearing in this post - fairly small platform really so not as big as normal creepers but they're so comfy and again go with most outfits. Also bought a pencil skirt and this top from Topshop for my recent trip to Berlin which look great together as well as a really cute bralet too.
More posts coming v soon I promise!!

Style Crush: Gillian Zinser

So really started getting into Pinterest recently, it's great for collating everything you see visually on the internet in one place, like a digital scrapbook I guess. Every time I see something I like, I can just pin it to a particular board straight from my bookmark bar and look at it at a later date. With this in mind, I was doing my usual trawl through Tumblr and Google Reader and stumbled across Gillian Zinser aka Ivy Sullivan in 90210. I'm a big fan of 90210 so already know Ivy has amazing style on screen, but wow she's possibly even better off screen! She's got a real Cali-beach girl vibe going on, very hippie-ish but with a punky/rock n roll edge. She is officially my new style crush. Here's a few of my fave looks:

The perfect jumper

Jumper: Topshop
Shirt: Blue Rinse
Jeans: Topshop
Shoes: New Look
Backpack: Urban Outfitters

Just a quick one to show you my rather perfect new jumper from Topshop - absolutely love the knit on it, loads of different colours all weaved in so goes with pretty much everything in my wardrobe! It's really thick too so all lovely and warm for winter. Wearing it with a really casual outfit here but reckon you could dress it up over the top of a midi skirt with a waist belt or with denim shorts too :)
